CLAY COUNTY SHERIFF'S REPORT

Sheriff Andy Myers released the following:

On May 8, the Clay County Sheriff’s Office responded to the area of Highway 50 and South Main Street in Clay City for a two-vehicle accident. As a result of this investigation Brady L. Fulk, 27, of Altamont, was issued citation for Failure to Reduce Speed. There were no injuries reported.

On May 9, the Clay County Sheriff’s Office issued citation to Darrell W. Bateman, 88, for the offense of Littering from Motor Vehicle in the 500 block of Chestnut Street in Louisville.

On May 9, Kaleb H. Hohlt, 37, of Iuka, was arrested on a Clay County Warrant (No Bond) for the original charge for Possession of Methamphetamine. Hohlt was transported to the Clay County Sheriff’s Office. Hohlt was given a Notice to Appear and released.

On May 9, the Clay County Sheriff’s Office responded to the area of Highway 50 and Frontage Road in Clay City for a single-vehicle accident. As a result of this investigation Treyton A. Morton, 20, of Xenia, was arrested for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol, Operating Uninsured Motor Vehicle and Improper Lane Usage. Morton was transported to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries.

On May 11, the Clay County Sheriff’s Office issued citation to Dylan Hicks, 23, of Louisville, for the offense of Accumulation of Litter, as a result of an investigation in the area of Catbird Drive in Louisville.

On May 11, the Clay County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 300 Block of Broadway Street in Iola for a report of Theft. As a result of this investigation Michael R. Butts, 47, of Farina, was arrested for Theft. Butts was transported to the Clay County Sheriff’s Office.

On May 11, Brock E. Davis, 45, of Flora, was arrested on a Clay County Warrant ($3000.00 10% plus $75.00 FTA Fee) for a Failure to Appear for the offense of Speeding. Davis posted bond and was released.

On May 11, Deanna R. Mitchell, 25, of Casey, was arrested on a Clay County Warrant (No Bond) for a Contempt of Court on the original charge of Aggravated Fleeing or Attempting to Elude a Peace Officer/Resisting a Peace Officer. Mitchell was transported to the Clay County Sheriff’s Office.

On May 12, the Clay County Sheriff’s Office arrested Richard D. Hampton, 52, of Louisville, on a Clay County Warrant (No Bond) for a Petition to Revoke Probation on the original charge of Possession of Methamphetamine, Obstructing Justice and Resisting Peace Officer. Hampton was transported to the Clay County Sheriff’s Office.

On May 12, the Clay County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 2000 Block of Caleb Road in Louisville for a report of a Domestic Dispute. As a result of this investigation Sean F. Gronewald, 35, of Louisville, was arrested for Domestic Battery. Gronewald was transported to the Clay County Sheriff’s Office.

On May 13, the Clay County Sheriff’s Office arrested Stephanie N. Pickens, 37, of Sailor Springs, on a Clay County Warrant (No Bond) for a Contempt of Court on the original charge of Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine. Pickens was transported to the Clay County Sheriff’s Office.

On May 13, the Clay County Sheriff’s Office arrested Brody M. Hagen, 26, of Noble, on a Clay County Warrant, for a Contempt of Court on the original charge of Driving while License Suspended. Hagen was transported to the Clay County Sheriff’s Office.

On May 14, the Clay County Sheriff’s Office responded to single-vehicle accident in the area of Dieterich Blacktop and Galiee Lane in Louisville. As a result of this investigation Faith E. Leisgang, 21, of Wisconsin, was issued citation for Improper Traffic Lane Usage. There were no injuries reported.

On May 14, the Clay County Sheriff’s Office responded to the area of Highway 45 and Cheetah Lane for a two-vehicle accident. As a result of this investigation Vayda L. Hampton, 19, of Louisville, was issued citation for Failure to Reduce Speed. There were no injuries reported.

On May 20, the Clay County Sheriff’s Office responded to the area of Broadway Street and Highway 45 in Louisville, for an attempt to locate a Domestic Disturbance that occurred in Flora. As a result of this investigation, Sean F. Gronewald, 35, of Louisville, was arrested for Violation of Pretrial Release. Gronewald was transported to the Clay County Sheriff’s Office.

On May 21, Christopher G. Sharp, 28, of Gillespie, was arrested on a Clay County Warrant (No Bond) for a Contempt of Court on the original charge of Driving while License Revoked. Sharp was given a Notice to Appear and released.

On May 21, Daniel L. Willis, 50, of Mulberry Grove, was arrested on a Clay County Warrant (No Bond) for a Contempt of Court on the original charge of Operating Uninsured Motor Vehicle. Willis was given a Notice to Appear and released.

On May 21, Erika S. Kessler, 30, of Clay City, was arrested on a Clay County Warrant (No Bond) for a Contempt of Court on the original charge(s) of Aggravated Battery of a Peace Officer and Resisting a Peace Officer. Kessler was given a Notice to Appear and released.

On May 21, the Clay County Sheriff’s Office arrested Cyler S. Pride, 31, of Flora, on a Clay County Warrant ($250.00 Cash Bond) for a Contempt of Court on the original charge of Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine. Pride posted bond and was released.

On May 21, the Clay County Sheriff’s Office arrested Richard K. Laue, 39, of Shelbyville, for the offense of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Obstructing Identification as a result of a traffic stop in the 300 Block of South 1st Southeast in Clay City. Laue was transported to the Clay County Sheriff’s Office and was released with a Notice to Appear.

On May 22, the Clay County Sheriff’s Office arrested Derik S. London, 30, of Flora, on a Clay County Warrant (No Bond) for the original charge of Burglary. London was transported to the Clay County Sheriff’s Office. London appeared in Clay County Court and was granted Pretrial Release.

On May 24, the Clay County Sheriff’s Office responded to the area of Old Ingraham Lane and Quartz Lane in Ingraham for a 911 hang up call. As a result of this investigation Colin C. Massie, 22, of Ingraham, was issued citation for Failure to Reduce Speed and Leaving the Scene of a Motor Vehicle accident. There were no injuries reported.

On May 24, the Clay County Sheriff’s Office arrested Dustin E. Charles, 31, of Flora, for the offense(s) of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol, Transport/Carry Alcohol Liquor/ Driver and Improper Traffic Lane Usage as a result of a traffic stop in the area of Highway 50 and 45 west junctions in Flora.

On May 24, the Clay County Sheriff’s Office arrested Daniel E. Britton, 21, of Fairfield, for the offense(s) of Driving on Suspended License, Transport/Carry Alcohol Liquor/Driver, Speeding and Disregarding Stop Sign as a result of a traffic stop in the area of Highway 50 and 45 west junctions in Flora. Britton was given a Notice to Appear per the Safety Act.

On May 26, the Clay County Sheriff’s Office issued citation(s) to Zachary G. Robb, 19, of Flora, for the offense(s) of Speeding and Operating Uninsured Motor Vehicle as a result of a traffic stop in the area of Highway 50 and Indian Ridge Road in Flora. Robb was given a Notice to Appear per the Safety Act.

On May 26, the Clay County Sheriff’s Office responded to single-vehicle accident in the 2400 block of Bluemound Road in Flora. As a result of this investigation Larry B. Milner, 41, of Cisne, was issued citation(s) for Improper Traffic Lane Usage and Operating Uninsured Motor Vehicle. Milner was transported to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries.

On May 26, the Clay County Sheriff’s Office issued citation to Tessa C. Manley, 19, of Louisville, for a Village of Louisville Ordinance, Dogs at Large, as a result of an investigation in the 200 block of North Church Street in Louisville.

On May 27, the Clay County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 200 block of South 3Rd Southwest Street in Clay City for an animal complaint. As a result of this investigation Garrette W. Schofield, 22, of Clay City, was issued a citation for a Clay City Village Ordinance for Dogs at Large.

The charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
