The North Clay School Board met in regular session last week.

North Clay school board members voted at this month's meeting to approve a construction project manager contract for Phase 2 of renovations and additions.  The Board also approved a dual credit contract with Illinois Eastern Community Colleges for the coming school year; approved an intergovernmental agreement with the Flora Public Library; approved bus bids on a 5-2 vote.  Board members also approved registration dates and the fee schedule for the coming school year; approved athletic co-op agreements; approved summer school extended learning programs; and approved a $5/day increase in the pay rate for substitute teachers for the coming school year.

In personnel matters board members hired Jessica Bell as 7th grade girls basketball coach; hired Patrick Mapes as a high school PE teacher; approved Devin Hilfrity as high school Spanish Club sponsor; hired Kelsey Gibbons as a cook all for the coming school year; and rehired non-certified staff; and posted for music instructor positions.  The board accepted resignations from Michelle Ruesken as junior high head volleyball coach and from Maddie Craig as 7th grade volleyball coach; hired Billy Coble as 8th grade girls basketball coach and 5th and 6th grade coach for the coming school year; and approved Jamie Harvel as a high school volleyball volunteer.  Administrators were also given permission to hire summer school teachers.
