CLAY COUNTY SHERIFF’S REPORT 4/22/24 Sheriff
Andy Myers released the following activity report on Friday. On
March 19, the Clay County Sheriff’s Office arrested Michael G. Moore, 51, of
Salem, for the offense(s) of Improper Lane Usage and Driving Under the
Influence of Alcohol as a result of a traffic stop in the area of Highway 50
and Country Club Road in Flora. Moore was given a Notice to Appear and
released. On
March 19, David B. Funte, 31, of Charleston, was arrested on a Clay County
Warrant (No Bond) on a Contempt Warrant for the original offense of Forgery.
Funte was given a Notice to Appear by the court and released. On
March 23, the Clay County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 1000 Block of South
Church Street in Louisville for an animal complaint. As a result, Jacob M.
Cornwell, 29, of Louisville, was issued a Louisville Village Ordinance for Dogs
at Large. On
March 23, the Clay County Sheriff’s Office arrested Justin W. Shadle, 43, of
Ingraham, on a Clay County Warrant ($500.00 Cash Bond) for Contempt of Court on
the original charge of Possession of Methamphetamine. Shadle posted bond and
was released. On
March 23, the Clay County Sheriff’s Office responded to a single vehicle
accident in the area of Vandalia Road and Pheasant Road. As a result, Jody R.
Beccue, 38, of Louisville, was arrested for Driving on Suspended License,
Improper Lane Usage, Resisting or Obstructing a Peace Officer and Threatening
Public Official. On
March 28, William E. Combs, 39, of Flora, was arrested on a Clay County Warrant
(No Bond) on a Contempt Warrant for the original charge of Felon Poss/Use
Weapon/Firearm and Resisting Peace Officer. Combs was given a Notice to Appear
by the court. On
March 29, Joaney M. Harris, 39, of Lawrenceville, was arrested on a Clay County
Warrant ($3,000.00 10% plus $75.00 FTA Fee) for a Failure to Appear on the
original charge of Retail Theft. Harris was given a Notice to Appear by the
court. On
March 29, David B. Koch, 50, of Lawrenceville, was arrested on a Clay County
Warrant ($3,000.00 10% plus $75.00 FTA Fee) for a Failure to Appear on the
original charge of Retail Theft and Contributing to the Criminal Delinquency of
a Minor. Koch was given a Notice to Appear by the court. On
April 3, Jared R. Cummins, 25, of Olney, was arrested on a Clay County Warrant
(No Bond) for a Contempt Warrant on the original charge of Unlawful Possession
of Controlled Substance. Cummins was given a Notice to Appear by the court. On
April 5, the Clay County Sheriff’s Office responded to a Suspicious Vehicle in
the 700 Block of Songer Township Lane in Xenia. As a result, Stephen E. Goff
Jr, 43, of Flora, was arrested for Possession of Methamphetamine. Goff was
transported to the Clay County Sheriff’s Office. On
April 6, the Clay County Sheriff’s Office issued citation Doc H.J. Woolard, 26,
of Olney, for Driving/Operating Non-Highway Vehicle/Atv following a traffic
stop in the area of Chestnut Street and Tanner Street in Louisville. On
April 6, Lisa R. Williams, 31, of Olney, was arrested on a Clay County Warrant
($5,000.00 10% plus $75.00 FTA Fee) for a Failure to Appear on the original
charge of Operating Uninsured Motor Vehicle. Williams posted bond and was
released. On
April 7, the Clay County Sheriff’s Office responded to a Domestic Dispute in
the 1900 Block of Campground Lane in Xenia. As a result, Bridgitte E. Bible,
44, of Flora, was arrested for Domestic Battery. Bible appeared in court and
was granted pretrial release. On
April 9, Bryttany R. Hester, 35, of Alma, was arrested on a Clay County Warrant
(No Bond) for a Petition to Revoke on the original charge of Retail Theft and
Possession of Methamphetamine. Hester was later released by the court. On
April 10, the Clay County Sheriff’s Office responded to Dispute in the 800
Block of Monroe Street in Louisville. As a result of this investigation,
Mackenzie E. Groves, 19, of Louisville and Destiney H. Curry, 18, of Louisville
were both arrested for Disorderly Conduct. On
April 11, the Clay County Sheriff’s Office arrested Breeanna M. Kemper, 32, of
Farina, was arrested on a Clay County Warrant (No Bond) for the original charge
of Forgery. Kemper appeared in court and was granted pretrial release. On
April 12, Jennifer M. Morris, 34, of Xenia, was arrested on a Clay County
Warrant (No Bond) for a Contempt of Court on the original charge of Unlawful
Possession of Methamphetamine. Morris was given a Notice to Appear by the
court. On
April 15, the Clay County Sheriff’s Office arrested Rhyver A.J. Cosner, 25, of
Flora, on a Clay County Warrant (No Bond) for the original charge of
Methamphetamine Delivery. Cosner was transported to the Clay County Sheriff’s
Office. On
April 15, Kyle T. Bryant, 25, of Clay City, was arrested on a Clay County
Warrant (No Bond) for a Contempt of Court on the original charge of Criminal
Damage to Property. Bryant was transported to the Clay County Sheriff’s Office. On
April 16, Murl A. Bridges Jr, 40, of Flora, was arrested on a Clay County
Warrant (No Bond) for the original charge for Unlawful Failure of Register as
Violent Offender against Youth. Bridges was granted pretrial release. On
April 16, David W. Barker, 36, of Flora, was arrested on a Clay County Warrant
($5,000.00 10% plus $75.00 FTA Fee) for a Failure to Appear on the original
charge for Home Invasion/Cause Injury and Aggravated Battery/Great Bodily Harm.
Bark was unable to post bond and transported to the Clay County Sheriff’s
Office. On
April 17, Aaron B. Flota, 45, of Edgewood, was arrested on a Clay County
Warrant (No Bond) for a Contempt of Court on the original charge of Disorderly
Conduct and Violation of Order of Protection. Flota was later released by the
court. The
charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until
proven guilty.
