Clay County Hospital is happy to announce that Derek Storck, Nurse Practitioner is one of the new additions to their group of providers.

Derek grew up in Farina, helping on the family farm. He originally attended Southern Illinois UniversityCarbondale for civil engineering and worked for a couple of years in St. Louis for an engineering firm before switching to a career in sales. After spending nearly 8 years traveling the mid-west he decided to switch to a career in healthcare. 

Derek graduated from Saint Louis University and took a job in an ER in Lincoln, IL before moving to his wife Melissa's hometown of Sterling Heights, MI. Spending almost two years in Michigan, Derek seized the opportunity to move back to southern Illinois where much of his family still resides. 

Derek sees patients by appointment at the Flora clinic and also works at the walk-in clinic at the Flora clinic location.
