KEY DATES FOR SALE OF DICAMBA 5/3/24 Some
keys dates are approaching involving the Environmental Protection Agency's
existing stocks order for dicamba products previously registered for
over-the-top use. In
Illinois, the end date for sale and distribution of existing stocks of
XtendiMax, Engenia or Tavium is May 13th. The end date for use of
existing stocks is June 12th, or V4 growth stage (soybean),
whichever is first. The
EPA's February 14th order addresses use of the products and
authorizes limited sale and distribution of dicamba products already in the
possession of growers or in the channels of trade and outside the controls of
the pesticide companies. The
order followed a February 6th ruling by the U.S. District Court of
Arizona in Tucson that vacated the 2020 registrations of three dicamba products
previously approved by the EPA for over-the-top applications.
